Welcome to MLT PAT Services. If you continue to browse and use this website you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern MLT PAT Services relationship with you in relation to this website.

The term MLT PAT Services or ‘I’, ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website. The term ‘you’ refers to the user, customer or viewer of our website. The use of this website is subject to the following terms of use:

1.             Website Use

1.1.        The content of the pages of this website is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice.

1.2.        Neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this website for any particular purpose. You acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.

1.3.        Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.

Terms of Business

 

The term MLT PAT Services or ‘I’, ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the PAT engineer of the services provided. The term ‘you’ refers to the user, customer of our services.

 

2.             General

2.1.        Once you have placed an order the confirmation will be emailed to you in written form and will also include an order number. This confirmation will need to be checked and confirmed by you before any work will commence.

2.2.        After any work has been completed, I reserve the right to withhold certificates and reports until the invoice has been paid in full. In most cases you will be supplied with your certificates and reports when I send you the invoice.

2.3.        It is the customers responsibility to make sure all equipment to be tested is made available whilst the technician is onsite.

2.4.        Quotes given for non-standard circumstances of work are only valid for a maximum of 30 days.

2.5.        In all quotes or work carried out using an existing price scheme will include plug re-wires and correct fuse replacements.

2.6.        Other than what is detailed in 2.5 all other repairs will be extra.

2.7.        Repairs other than stated in 2.5 will only be carried out by prior agreement by the customer.

2.8.        Parts used for repair or replacement will be of the highest quality using British Standards.

2.9.        Appliances that have passed Inspection and Testing will be get a passed green sticker to indicate a safe appliance for your convenience.

2.10.     Appliances that have failed and could not be repaired or could not be repaired because of restrictions placed by the customer will get a red failed sticker and brought to the attention of the customer.

2.11.     It is the customers responsibility to withdraw any failed equipment from use that the test technician brought to your attention.

2.12.     Class 1 IT equipment, telecommunications equipment or equipment which have sensitive electronic circuitry will only be earth continuity tested at 200mA and not to load test unless specifically instructed otherwise by the customer.

2.13.     Equipment must be switched off or shut down before we can fully inspect and test.

2.14.     Computers will not be part or fully booted up during inspection and testing.

2.15.     Detachable IEC leads will be inspected and tested separately.

2.16.     It is the customers responsibility to ensure that all assets have been tested while the technician is onsite, otherwise further call outs will have to be completed at the convenience of PAT technician.

 

2.             Payments and Charges

2.1.        Payment for work carried shall be paid in full within 14 days from when the work was completed. After such time a daily charge of 5% will be added to the invoice.

2.2.        All prices mentioned or charges are to be in GBP Sterling.

2.3.        We reserve the right to change prices any time without warning.

2.4.        In the case of 2.3 for quotes already issued before will still be honoured until the work is carried out if already agreed in writing or until the quote has expired.

 

3.             Limitation of Liability

3.1.        We are not liable for the loss or damage of appliances that have failed or broken after testing was carried out successfully unless you can demonstrate neglect by us.

3.2.        I am not liable for the loss of data held on computers that were tested by MLT PAT Services. It’s the customers responsibility to back up data held on any electronic devices that will be tested.

 

 

4.             Matters Beyond MLT PAT Services Control

4.1.        I will not be held responsible for loss for being held up by traffic, road closures or for unexpected adverse weather conditions.

4.2.        If we find MLT PAT Services will be late for any reason including points made in 4.1 we if safe to do so will contact you to inform of our late arrival.

 

5.             Cancellation of Orders

5.1.        Orders may be cancelled or postponed as long as it is at least 24 hours before the order is to commence.

5.2.        Orders that are cancelled less than 24 hours before the task is due to commence will be liable for a late cancellation fee.

5.3.        Late cancellation fee is £50 or 30% of the order whichever is the greatest.
